LYKO
"Imagine standing in a store surrounded by 55,000 products from over 1,000 brands. This is the world of Lyko, a leading beauty specialist. In this sea of competition, Lyko’s own private label needed to be the star, but it was failing to shine. The existing packaging was a deep, dark blue that—while elegant—simply disappeared into the shadows of the retail shelves.
For my Bachelor's project, I took on the challenge of bringing this brand into the light. Working solo over an intense two-week design sprint, I dove deep into the problem. I moved into physical prototyping and testing, molding shapes that would feel natural in the hand.
The goal was to pivot from 'blending in' to embodying Lyko’s true spirit: playful, wonderful, and individual. The result is a vibrant yellow concept that refuses to be ignored, turning a background product into a shelf-popping icon."
