About
Hi, I’m Johanna, an Industrial Designer, based in Stockholm, Sweden. Specializing in thoughtful, user-driven design.
How It Started
My journey into industrial design began with a love for art and hands-on making. As a teenager, I studied fine arts and spent countless hours experimenting with Photoshop, photography, and creative tools, always drawn to how things looked, felt, and functioned. Over time, I realized I didn’t just want to create beautiful things. I wanted to design useful ones. Discovering industrial design was like finding the missing link: a field where I could combine creativity, problem-solving, and real-world impact.
Experience
With over 4 years in the field, I’ve worked across product categories. From outdoor gear to kitchen systems to packaging design. At Dometic, I led the redesign of inflatable awnings, enhancing both function and market appeal. At Grow, I worked with clients like Chanel and Bosch, translating research and trends into compelling design solutions. My roles have spanned from UX/UI and CMF to CAD modeling and prototyping. Each project deepening my belief in thoughtful, user-driven design.
My process
My design approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and iteration. I start with research, understanding user needs, behaviors, and context. From there, I move into ideation, sketching, modeling, and prototyping. Always refining based on feedback and testing.
